Hit Me Baby One More Time!

Ok so we realise that the denim trend is not exactly groundbreaking news but given that we have been loving it at the moment we just had to say something on the topic. Whilst Britney and Justin had many years of flack with everyone going all Fashion Police on them now we’ve hit 2017 and everyone is saying Hit me Baby one more time when it comes to double denim.

Give us embroidered denim, light wash denim, ripped demin, cut off denim, lace up denim, patchwork denim, we are loving it all at the moment. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly tiring of peoples parents asking me if I had ‘paid less for ones with holes in’ but none the less we are wearing it all anyway.

As we all know denim is the perfect item to dress both up and down and there are always those denim pieces in our wardrobes that we reach for with so many outfits. I personally can not get enough of my denim jeans (pictured) with the frayed hems as I love them with both heeled boots and trainers and they are super comfortable. I think that jean shopping is something that can sometimes be overwhelming as there are almost too many pairs to choose from but trying them on is the way forward as you can immediately eliminate those that do not fit your body shape. Don’t underestimate high street brands when it comes to jeans as stores such as Topshop, H&M and Missy Empire as they offer some great quirky options.

I have stopped counting for how many times Olivia has been complimented on her denim jacket (pictured), the cut and colour make it an easy staple to wear with anything. Although our mum keeps telling us that she used to have one just like it and that she should have hung on to it I think we are glad to have found this Zara updated version.

I think it it safe to say that we will now be hanging on to our denim pieces for when they come back around yet again. Although, on second thoughts we are kinda glad to have said goodbye to the short low rise denim skirts with oversized brown belts so perhaps we will just enjoy wearing all current double denim for now.

Love Alice Xx
