NEW TRENDS WE WILL BE TRIALING IN 2019

We have already written a post about the spring summer trends that we possibly already have in our wardrobes but we just wanted to touch on the new ones. Those that have been seen on the catwalks for SS19 and wonder if they will stick and if you will be giving them a go throughout Spring.

Tie Dye

So the first thing that springs to mind here are the T-shirt’s we made when we were younger in the hope that we could have our very own original tie dye top. I can’t say the idea of this one gets us over excited but come back to us in a month or so as I am sure we will be giving it a whirl (excuse the pun). We also are not just talking about the bog standard home made t shirt, Proenza Schouler had a beautiful pink and blue silk tie dye shirt and MSGM had an awesome midi dress with mis-matching sleeves. Maybe this will be more fun than we had thought!

Long Fringing

Brands such as Givenchy and Oscar De La Renta were dishing out some long fringing on their SS19 catwalks. Here we saw a lot of mini skirts with fringing completing the length of the skirt all the way down to the floor and full length fringe dresses. Last summer we loved the fringing that came with the Western trend and although this fringing is not directly with a Western twist we think we are down for it!

Orange

Head to toe, bright and bold orange. Escada had a beautifully tailored look in full orange and we are excited about this one. Orange looks great with a tan and can be a really chic colour…also looks great with all the gold jewellery!

Fishnet

Ok so perhaps we are not ready to just wear the one fishnet layer but fishnet layerING we can do. Brands such a Dior had some amazing looks using different colours and textures layering fishnet looks. Maybe if we want to test this one out we can start with some fishnet tights?

Specific Shade of Green

I’m not sure if we are calling this one pistachio, sage or ‘not neon but not quite lime or pastel’ but we have already seen this coming in to the high street stores. This colour is always a gorgeous one for Spring and I think subconsciously it can make is feel fresh for the new year.

Make sure to keep an eye out on our IGTV for our ‘Trends on Trial’ series where we will be giving some of these a go.
