It’s that time of year where we all have something to go to! A wedding, summer BBQ, family birthday, Ascot, Wimbledon or whatever takes you fancy.
Whatever it is, the number one thing we ask ourselves is what will we wear! We were at Henley last weekend and noticed how many gorgeous dresses were about! I remember the first year we went there were not even many ‘below the knee’ dresses out there and now there are so many gorgeous midi dresses available! There are so many appropriate occasion wear outfits available right now and they range over all price points.
Forget what you thought you knew about M&S and take a look at the photos above! We recently wore these outfits to a smart daytime event and were questioned over and over again on where they were from. Both are super chic and elegant, we are in love and can not wait to wear them again, perhaps we will swap next time?
The yellow suit is an amazing colour and the quality is fantastic. We completely fell in love with the long line blazer and will be taking this through to our A/W wardrobe.
The blue floral midi dress is something you can wear time and time again and is the ultimate occasion wear piece. We always find that if you are unsure what is suitable for an event that playing it safe in terms of a midi length and long sleeves with a floral print you can not go wrong!

This Polka Dot Dress from Topshop is stunning and a beautiful take on the polka dot trend with the contrasting tie top half. The length means that it is perfect for an evening event with some heels and would look super elegant with a low bun and a red lip. Currently online at £34 we think this dress is a sure winner for those events you have planned!
So those of you who know us well know that Rixo is one of our favourite brands, helped by the fact that the girls who own the brand are lovely humans (of Rixo)! It is one of those brands that you want every single piece on the website but we are currently obsessed with this one below. They always have an amazing knack of making something look high end and yet incorporating a fun twist in to the designs. More expensive than some this dress is £295 but they are hand painted silk designs so we can see why! The only down side is that every one of your friends will be sure to ask to borrow it!
This Miss Selfridge jumpsuit is a great option for any events you may have coming up as it is currently only £25.00 but looks like it should be much more. This powder blue is a colour that we think suits all skin tones and the fact that it is a jumpsuit makes you feel like a girl boss! We love that this jumpsuit has sleeves and a cinched in waist for a flattering look.
Last but not least on our list of must haves is this gorgeous floral dress from Topshop. We saw this dress at the Topshop press day and I think it was a favourite of nearly all the girls who attended. The colours are so perfect for summer and the pleating is to die for. Imagine swishing for a photo in that!
