We still remember our first ever Fashion week and the moment the lights went up, the music went on and the models started walking down the runway. As cringe as it seems, it was such an exciting moment and it feels just the same every time we go to see a show now.
After going to a few shows you start to get a feel of any similar trends that may be emerging for next season when it comes to the fabric, colouring and style of the clothing. Here are a few trends that we spotted time and time again throughout the shows but have also been reflected in some of the street style over fashion month so far.
The Trench
Kicking it off with one of the best of the British brands Burberry! The way they have taken such an iconic style and developed it to something that ties in so brilliantly with current affairs is in our opinion really rather genius! The new rainbow nova check is everything and we want it all, in particular the good old classic trench coat. Trenches were seen all over the catwalk, however we have a few more affordable versions for you if you are not ready to splash out on one of Christopher Bailey’s latest masterpieces!

Tartan
So you might have worked out that Tartan is not going anywhere this Autumn Winter and we are all about that. In particular mixing up your colours and textures of tartan, more is more! (I feel we say this to ourselves way too frequently) We spotted some particularly great Tartan looks at the House of Holland show as seen below but here are a few of our Tartan picks!

Pink and Red
Gone are the days of people telling you that Pink and Red do not go! This is one of our fave combos that we wear often and was seen a lot during fashion week. One of the shows that was in abundance of red and pink looks was Ashish. So many of the looks that came down the catwalk we wanted to morph straight on to our bodies. Here are some amazing colour clashing pieces that you could get right now.

Big Hats
We are huge fans of hats as we think they can complete any outfit (and hide bad hair days). We have all seen baker boy hats and berets around for a while now but on the catwalks so far over fashion months hats are growing on us even more, excuse the pun! Alberta Ferretti and Marc Jacobs really showcased this trend during their Milan shows.
